Dhobi Aaya Dhobi Aaya | Hindi Nursery Rhymes

Dhobi Aaya Dhobi Aaya | Hindi Nursery Rhymes

The sun is setting, the river is flowing, and there is a beautiful house with green trees in the background. On the riverbank, Bugsy joins Motu as she is waiting for the dhobi. Bugsy is extremely confused and asks Motu what a dhobi is.

Motu explains that a dhobi is a laundry man who washes and presses the clothes for the whole neighborhood. Bugsy then wonders how many clothes that would be! Motu and Ghotu (as the dhobi) take us on a journey through numbers to find out how many clothes that dhobi will have brought!

This fun Hindi nursery rhyme teaches children how to count as the numbers appear on all sorts and styles of shirts. Dhobi helps promote education and development in a traditional Indian language through children’s songs.
